We believe in focusing on the key aspects of the brewing process that most affect quality and stability. We believe in big bold flavors. When we say something has a unique ingredient in it, you can bet you will taste it. We are growing our barrel aging program as fast as possible and exploring new tecniques with wood fermentation, wild ales and exotic ingredients. We regularly host live music and food trucks on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

    Rogue Curbside Kitchen is back again and will be pulling up at 5 PM.

  • December 16, 2017 - Bottle Release!

    We will be releasing two different bottles of our Bourbon Barrel Aged Stouts. The bottle sales will start at the 8058 address of the brewery. The bottle sales will be CASH ONLY!

    Bottles being released:
    Vlad the Second Order of the Dragon w/Coconut - Russian Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels w/Coconut. $20 a bottle and limit 6 bottles per person.

Vlad
Russian Imperial Stout
11 % ABV.

This huge Russian Imperial stout is as complex as they come. Big hop flavor and aroma that fades to clean malt with notes of chocolate, coffee, and roasty goodness.

South Side Irish Red
Irish Red
5.6% ABV.

This malty Irish style red ale was inspired by the famous red ales from Ireland. It starts with smooth English specialty malts and finishes with a nice continental hop finish to cut the malt and balance this beer out.

Crash Test Dummy
Belgian Style Tripel
9.0% ABV.

Belgian Style Tripel with aromas of spice, pepper and clove phenolics from the Belgian yeast. Just enough hop presence to balance the big malt bill.

Cumulus
Northeast I.P.A.
6.3% ABV.

Northeast Style I.P.A. brewed with Oats and Wheat. A hazy yeast strain and super hop aroma. Hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and Kohatu hops.

Nimbus
Northeast Session IPA
4.7% ABV.

This Northeast style Session IPA is brewed with Pilsner, Vienna, Wheat and Munich Malts. The yeast strain gives it the hazy affected. Hopped with Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Mosaic and Kohatu.

Stratus
Northeast Double I.P.A.
8.0% ABV.

This Northeast Style Double I.P.A. is brewed with Optic, Vienna, Asts, Wheat and Honey Malts. The Conan and London Ale III yeast gives it a hazy affected. The hops use are Mosaic, Simcoe, Citra, Centennial and Cascade.

Cirrus
Northeast Oat IPA
6.5% ABV.

Cirrus is a Northeast Style Oat IPA. It is brewed with Golden Promise, Oats, Munich and Honey Malts. The yeast strain gives it a hazy affected. The hops used are Mosaic, Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Huell Melon.

Banaba
West Coast Double IPA
8.0% ABV.
The Story Of Boing!

Banaba is a West Coast Style Double IPA. This Double IPA is going to be dry and very hop forward. Hops use are Columbus, Centennial, and Simcoe.

English Gentleman
Imperial Milk Stout
13% ABV.

English Gentleman is the fourth beer in our Imperial Milk Stout series. This wonderful stout is brewed with Hazelnut.

Bourbon B.A. Vlad The Conquistador
Russian Imperial Stout
14.1% ABV.

This is a Bourbon Barrel Aged version of Vlad The Conquistador. It is a Russian Imperial Stout with Cocoa, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Agave and Chili Peppers.

2017 Harvest Ale
I.P.A.
5.5% ABV.

This year Harvest Ale is brewed with fresh wet Triple Pearl Hops. Triple Pearl Hops have a classic orange note with a blend of lime and honeydew in the aroma. Sweet orange peel, line zest, pepper, and pine are the dominant flavor.

Night Of The Undead
Schwarzbier
4.8% ABV.

Schwarzbier, is simply German for black beer. Unlike other dark beers, like porters or stouts, they are not overly bitter with burnt and roasted malt characteristics that the others tend to depend on. Very refreshing and soul lifting beers, they also make a great alternative for the Winter. Especially when you are looking for a lighter beer, but one with depth, color, and taste.

Bourbon B.A. Vlad The Conquistador w/Coffee
Russian Imperial Stout
14.1% ABV.

This is a Bourbon Barrel Aged version of Vlad The Conquistador. It is a Russian Imperial Stout with Cocoa, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Agave and Chili Peppers. Then we added coffee beans in the barrels.

Hop Farm
Dry Hopped Brett Saison
5.5% ABV.

Hop Farm is a brett saison and dry hopped with Mosaic Hops.

Billy Bock Thornton
Bock Style German Lager
6.6% ABV.

Bock beer, in general, is stronger than your typical lager, more of a robust malt character with a dark amber to brown hue.

Brandon

Brandon Banbury

Brandon came from a background as an accomplished home brewer who has specialized in beligian, sours, and barrel aged beer. Brewing at his home in the south suburbs, his beers have gained regional recognition and won many national awards. Brandon also brings 8 years experience in food and beverage plant systems and civil engineering. Professionally with Hailstorm Brandon has won a gold, silver and bronze medal in the indiana beer cup, as well as a silver medal at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival. He is a BJCP recognized beer judge and frequently judges in both professional and home brewing competitions.

Chris

Chris Schiller

Chris was a homebrewer for over 5 years and had wanted to scale up to commercial brewing since the start. Specializing in porters, stouts, belgian trippels, and bavarian wheats, he rounds out some of the offerings at Hailstorm. He designs the labels, and coming from a career in consulting and software engineering, Chris supports the accounting/finance/IT operations of the busines.

Gene brings a wealth of construction and operations experience to our team. He helped design our taproom and brewery layout and function. He maintains our taproom and brewery as well as organizing and coordinating special events.

Josh Wabiszczewicz

Josh has years of experience in the hospitality industry and brings his excellent people skills and professionalism to our tap room and keeps everything running smoothly. He manages all of our special and weekly events, and our wonderful team of taproom experts.
